Why the ZQ120 Plus

Receipts and labels on the move, from a printer made for India

The ZQ120 Plus is the only model in Zebra's ZQ100 Series, which Zebra sells in India only, and it replaces the earlier ZQ120. It is a slim 3-inch direct thermal printer for receipts and labels, light (390 g) and worked with one hand, and run from a phone over Bluetooth.

3-inch receipts, or 2-inch with spacers

It takes 80 mm paper and prints up to 72 mm wide. Zebra's media spacers let it run 76.2 mm, 58 mm or 50.8 mm paper, so one printer suits 3-inch and 2-inch formats.

Receipts and labels from one printer

It prints continuous receipts, black-mark receipts and gap labels from 12.7 mm to 203.2 mm long, all direct thermal, with black-mark, gap and media-out sensors.

IP54 without a protective case

Zebra rates the ZQ120 Plus to IP54 without a case and for 1.5 m drops to concrete. It operates from -5 °C to 50 °C.

Charges over USB-C, in the van or from a power bank

The USB-C port charges the printer from a vehicle USB port, a power bank or Zebra's optional AC-to-USB adapter, in less than 4 hours. The 2,500 mAh Li-ion battery is removable, and Zebra rates a charge at a minimum of 500 labels 8.5 in. long at 13% print density.

Pairs with a tap on Android

Bluetooth 5.0 (Classic and Low Energy) connects the printer to your app, and a passive NFC tag pairs NFC-enabled Android devices with a tap. A black-and-white OLED screen shows status, with Power, Config and Feed buttons.

Fits billing apps that speak CPCL or ESC/POS

The printer accepts CPCL and a subset of ESC/POS. Zebra's ZLabel Designer app for Android and iOS designs price and product labels, and Zebra lists a Windows driver, an OPOS driver and legacy Multiplatform SDK support for app developers.

  • Government (parking enrolment, e-citation)
  • Field services (work order management, utility meter reading)
