Why the RT10 Rugged Tablet - Android (RT10A)
The RT10A is the Android version of Honeywell's RT10 rugged tablet, built on Honeywell's Mobility Edge platform. It weighs 1.2 kg with the standard battery and is 19.5 mm thick.
Choose the Honeywell N6703 standard-range imager, or the FlexRange dual-lens imager, which Honeywell rates from less than 0.1 m (5 in) to 10.7 m (35 ft) with autofocus. Staff read rack labels across an aisle without walking up to them.
The display is 10.1-inch, 1920 × 1200 and 800 nits, optically bonded, with a full touchscreen. It has two programmable function keys, and by default the Fn2 key triggers the scanner.
The RT10A supports hot-swap: after the tablet has been on for 4 minutes, insert a fresh battery within 30 seconds, or use Swap Battery mode. Honeywell rates the 5,900 mAh standard battery at 12 hours and the 10,280 mAh extended battery at 18 hours.
Sealed to IP65 and rated for 1.2 m (4 ft) drops to MIL-STD-810G. It works from -10 °C to 50 °C on battery power and from -20 °C to 40 °C on AC power.
Honeywell's vehicle docks and cradles take 9-36 V or 10-60 V vehicle supplies and fit 75 mm VESA and RAM mounts. The office dock adds Ethernet, RS-232 and USB; the display dock adds HDMI for a monitor. Hand and shoulder straps are optional.
Honeywell Operational Intelligence finds problems such as units that were not charged overnight, and Smart Talk gives PTT, text, voice and video calls. We connect the RT10A to your WMS, inventory or ERP software and set it up at your site.
