Why the MB241 Series
The MB241 Series is TSC's compact performance industrial printer. TSC India lists it as the replacement for the MB240 Series. It comes as the 203 dpi MB241 and the 300 dpi MB341, each with buttons or, on the T models, a colour touch screen.

The MB241 prints at up to 12 ips (304.8 mm/s) at 203 dpi and the MB341 at up to 9 ips at 300 dpi. TSC's ME240 manual lists up to 6 ips and 4 ips.
A die-cast print mechanism on a metal frame with a metal cover. Printhead pressure and heat line are adjustable for consistent print on different labels.
Takes media from 0.06 to 0.28 mm thick and 20 to 120 mm wide, on 8-inch O.D. rolls with 1 to 3-inch cores, and 450 m ribbons.
TSC Sense Care tracks printhead health (TPH Care), printhead mileage and cutter counts. TSC Console and SOTI Connect (licence required) manage printers remotely.

The MB241 prints near 7,000 courier labels an hour of print time. It prints up to 107 mm wide on media up to 120 mm, so a 4 × 6 inch (101.6 × 152.4 mm) label fits. At 304.8 mm/s (12 ips) a label with a 3 mm gap takes about 0.51 s of pure print time; the 300 dpi MB341 at 9 ips takes about 0.68 s. A full 8-inch roll of 0.28 mm media on a 1-inch core holds about 114 m, some 730 labels, and a 450 m ribbon lasts for about 2,900.
The 203 dpi MB241 prints 8 dots/mm; the 300 dpi MB341 prints 12 for smaller MRP digits. Ask us to set up the MRP, net-quantity and date lines for your retail packs and print test labels on your roll.
The MB241 prints product, carton and pharma codes, and media up to 0.28 mm thick lets it print heavier tag stock. Its barcode list includes EAN-13 for products numbered by GS1 India (the 890 prefix), EAN-128 (GS1-128) and GS1 DataBar for cartons, and DataMatrix and the QR code used on bulk-drug (API) labels.
Keep the MB241 in a ventilated or cooled room in summer. TSC rates it for 0 °C to 40 °C at 25-85% humidity, non-condensing. The universal supply takes AC 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz (90 W output), which covers 230 V and 240 V mains on India's 50 Hz grid; use a stabiliser where mains runs higher.

MB241, if you are buying new. TSC India lists the ME240 Series as no longer sold since December 2020, with support ended in December 2025, and names the MB240 and ML240 Series as its replacements; those two are now replaced by the MB241 and ML241P Series. Compared with TSC's ME240 figures, the MB241 prints about twice as fast (12 ips against 6 ips at 203 dpi), has 256 MB of SDRAM against 8 MB, and has Ethernet as standard.
Choose the MB241 for higher speed (12 ips against 8 ips at 203 dpi), thicker media up to 0.28 mm, 3-inch cores, a touch-screen option and the widest choice of add-ons, including rewinder, linerless and RFID kits. Choose the ML241P where height is limited, such as a rack: it is 245 mm tall against 274 mm, and lighter at 7.7 kg.
Usually. The MB241 takes labels 20-120 mm wide and up to 0.28 mm thick on 8-inch rolls with 1 to 3-inch cores, and ribbons 40-110 mm wide and up to 450 m long on a 1-inch core. Send your current label and ribbon sizes with the quote request.
TSC's TSPL-EZD firmware supports EPL, ZPL, ZPL II and DPL, and switches language automatically. This helps when replacing an ME240 or printers of other makes without redesigning labels. Tell us which software prints your labels when you ask for a quote.
TSC lists linerless tear-off and cutter kits and RFID tear-off and cutter upgrade kits as options for the MB241 Series. With the RFID kit, TSC lists on-metal RFID media up to 1.65 mm thick. Tell us which kit and media you need when you ask for a quote.
Yes. It prints up to 107 mm wide (203 dpi) on media 20-120 mm wide, and a 4 × 6 inch label is 101.6 mm wide. At 12 ips a label takes about half a second. If your shipping software sends ZPL, note that TSC lists ZPL compatibility in the TSPL-EZD firmware.
