Why the ZX1200i+ Series
The ZX1200i+ series, which Godex lists as the ZX1000i+ series, has three models that differ in print resolution: the ZX1200i+ at 203 dpi, the ZX1300i+ at 300 dpi and the ZX1600i+ at 600 dpi. All three share the same metal frame, 3.2-inch colour touch screen and 256 MB of flash memory.
The ZX1200i+ prints 8 dots/mm, the ZX1300i+ 12 dots/mm and the ZX1600i+ 24 dots/mm. At 600 dpi one dot is about 0.04 mm across, for small text and small 2D codes.
Speed falls as resolution rises: up to 10 ips (254 mm/s) at 203 dpi, 7 ips (178 mm/s) at 300 dpi and 4 ips (102 mm/s) at 600 dpi. Godex notes that speed and minimum label height depend on the label material.
Takes 8-inch (203.2 mm) rolls on cores of 38.1 to 76.2 mm and 450 m ribbons on a 1-inch core. The printer adjusts itself for ink-in and ink-out ribbons.
A 3.2-inch colour touch screen, a calibration button at the rear and 256 MB each of flash memory and SDRAM. Three USB host ports take a scanner, keyboard or memory stick.
An all-metal die-cast frame. Godex designed the printhead and platen roller to be taken out and refitted without a long strip-down.

The ZX1200i+ prints near 5,900 courier labels an hour of print time. A 4 × 6 inch (101.6 × 152.4 mm) label fits all three models, which print 104 mm wide or more. With a 3 mm gap, a label takes about 0.61 s at 10 ips (ZX1200i+), 0.87 s at 7 ips (ZX1300i+) and 1.5 s at 4 ips (ZX1600i+). The hourly figure is pure print time at 203 dpi. A full 8-inch roll of 0.25 mm media on a 3-inch core holds about 111 m, some 717 labels, and a 450 m ribbon lasts for about 2,900. At 13.6 kg and 465 × 269 × 312 mm (length × width × height), it needs a firm bench or stand at the packing line.

For very small 2D codes, choose the 600 dpi ZX1600i+: 24 dots in every millimetre, twice the 300 dpi ZX1300i+. All three models print EAN-13 for the 890 product numbers GS1 India issues, plus EAN-128, ITF-14 and GS1 DataBar, and 2D codes such as QR (used on bulk-drug API labels), Data Matrix, DotCode and GS1 Composite.
Place the printer in an air-conditioned or ventilated store and cool the room in summer; its humidity rating does not cover condensation. Godex rates it for 5 °C to 40 °C and 20-85% humidity, non-condensing. Its auto-switching AC 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz supply handles 230 V and 240 V mains; use a stabiliser where mains runs higher.

Choose by label detail. The ZX1200i+ is 203 dpi and the fastest of the three, up to 10 ips (254 mm/s). The ZX1300i+ is 300 dpi at up to 7 ips (178 mm/s). The ZX1600i+ is 600 dpi at up to 4 ips (102 mm/s), for very small text and codes. Print width is 104 mm on all three, so label size does not decide it. Send your smallest barcode and font size with the quote request.
Yes. A 4 × 6 inch label is 101.6 mm wide, and every model in the series prints 104 mm wide or more, on media up to 118 mm wide. At 203 dpi and 10 ips a label with a 3 mm gap takes about 0.6 s. Tell us which shipping software prints your labels when you ask for a quote.

The label dispenser with internal rewinder, the parallel port adaptor and the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth BLE 5.0 combo module are dealer-install options.
