Why the Granit XP 1991iXLR
The Granit XP 1991iXLR is the cordless version of Honeywell's extended-range Granit XP and its named replacement for the Granit 1981i.
Reads 100 mil Code 39 rack labels up to 24 m, 100 mil Data Matrix up to 11.4 m and a 13 mil UPC from 11 mm to 2.2 m, so one scanner covers top racks and cartons in hand.
The lithium-ion battery (2,450 mAh minimum) gives up to 50,000 scans per charge, or about 14 hours at one scan per second. The old 1981i was rated for 8 hours.
Bluetooth 4.2, Class 1, reaches up to 100 m line of sight, so pickers and forklift drivers can scan across an aisle without returning to the base.
Tested to 3 m drops (MIL-STD-810G), 20 drops from 2.4 m and 7,000 tumbles at 1 m, and sealed to IP65 and IP67 behind a small, recessed scan window.
Two imagers (near 1280 × 800 global shutter, far 1920 × 1080) and motion tolerance up to 4,500 mm/s help it read worn and low-quality labels without slowing the picker.
The base connects over USB, keyboard wedge or RS-232 TTL. Allmark integrates scanners with warehouse and ERP software, including our own WMS, and trains staff on site.

For buyers in India
These are the points buyers in India ask us about the Granit XP 1991iXLR. Mention the ones that apply to you when you request a quote.
The cordless 1991iXLR suits standard -18 °C freezer rooms but not blast freezers or rooms below -20 °C, its lowest rated temperature. For those colder rooms, choose the corded Granit XP 1990iXLR, rated to -30 °C with Honeywell's industrial-grade cable.
Pickers walking the aisle and forklift drivers can scan rack locations on the move with the 1991iXLR, within Bluetooth range of the base, as there is no cable to it. Angle top labels down or print them larger: as with the corded 1990iXLR, Honeywell's ranges assume the scanner faces the label, and a steep upward angle shortens them (the spec allows 45° pitch and 65° skew). In a building with a 10 m roof, a top label can be about 8.5 m above a scanner held at 1.5 m.
Dock staff can scan a driver's e-way bill and e-invoice QR codes at the truck with the 1991iXLR. It reads QR codes, and its Class 1 Bluetooth reaches up to 100 m line of sight from the base. Tax officers check an e-way bill by scanning the QR code printed on it. A B2B e-invoice prints its own QR code holding the IRN.

Questions buyers ask
The Granit XP 1991iXLR price depends on the cable or accessories you need and the quantity. Ask our team for today's competitive price: share your requirement and budget, and we will help you choose the right configuration and send a written quotation with current pricing and delivery time.
Honeywell lists the Granit 1981i as end of life since May 2023 and names the Granit 1991iXLR as its replacement. On Honeywell's datasheets, the 1991iXLR reads 100 mil Code 39 to 24 m (the 1981i: 16 m), uses Bluetooth 4.2 instead of 2.1, and is rated for about 14 hours per charge instead of 8 hours.
In Honeywell's typical tests it reads 100 mil Code 39 labels up to 24 m, 100 mil Data Matrix up to 11.4 m and 20 mil Code 39 up to about 5.9 m. A 13 mil UPC reads from 11 mm to about 2.2 m. Real distances depend on label size, print quality and lighting.
Honeywell rates the battery for up to 50,000 scans per charge, or about 14 hours at one scan per second. Honeywell lists spare battery packs, charge-and-communication bases and a charge-only base as accessories, so for two shifts add a spare battery to the order.
Honeywell rates the cordless 1991iXLR from -20 °C to 50 °C, with IP65 and IP67 sealing, so it suits a standard freezer room held at -18 °C. For colder rooms and blast freezers, the corded Granit XP 1990iXLR is rated down to -30 °C with Honeywell's industrial-grade cable. Tell us the room temperature when you ask for a quote.
